Try this: 5 slow, deep square breaths.

Sit comfortably, but sit up straight, hands on knees. Close your eyes.

  • Inhale ......., Hold .......
  • Exhale ......., Hold .......

 



Take note of anything you notice, and try it again tomorrow.  Think you can practice this every day?

Once you get familiar with this type of breathing you can use it when you are in between activities are if you find yourself in a stressful situation.  It is your official "take a moment to take one deep breath" tool.
